Angela Collins: With decades of experience in the yachting industry, Angela founded the brokerage with a vision to provide a more personal, trustworthy service. Her integrity and attention to detail are the cornerstones of our business.
Mark & Darrel Collins: As Angela’s husband and son, Mark and Darrel are both qualified skippers and bring immense practical experience to the team. Their hands-on knowledge of yacht building, maintenance, and long-distance cruising provides invaluable insight for our clients.

Angela Collins
Angela Collins’ story is nothing short of inspiring. She discovered sailing at 39 and quickly fell in love with the sea. Driven by passion and determination, she founded Angela Collins Yachts in 2000 a yacht brokerage and shortly after went on to build both the Parlay 40 catamarans and Lavranos 37 Blue Bay yachts. With limited capital but plenty of grit, she grew her business and became a regular at major U.S. boat shows.
Now, with her latest venture—Tosca Yachts in Cape Town—Angela is building the Lavranos-designed Tosca 39, a beautiful cruising yacht that reflects her deep sailing knowledge and hands-on expertise. Angela is an experienced sailor with a Coastal Skipper’s License, and her warm, approachable nature has earned her deep respect from clients around the world.

Mark Collins
My love for sailing started in my early 40s, alongside my wife, Angela. While we both took to it right away, Angela truly caught the sailing bug—and eventually founded Angela Collins Yachts. A few years later, I came on board, and we’ve been a team ever since—partners in both business and life for over 45 wonderful years.
Angela leads the business with passion and vision, while I focus on the technical and practical side of things. I hold a Coastal Skipper’s License, and for me, there’s nothing quite like the calm and magic of the open sea.

Darrel Collins
Darrel’s sailing journey began as a teen in 2000, enjoying racing in the Lipton Cup and Vasco De Gama yacht races, and later working on superyachts in the Caribbean. With a Coastal Skipper’s License and hands-on experience at the Angela Collins Yachts factory, he played a key role in building the Parlay 40 and Bluebay 37.
Trained by expert boat builders, Darrel brings both skill and passion to every project. Now in his 40s, he shares his mother’s warm, approachable nature and is leading the exciting new Tosca Yachts venture with fresh energy and expertise.
